Amanda Averill

Amanda Averill has always had a passion for helping clients in family law. She prides herself on her compassion, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to advocating for those she serves.
A graduate of New England Law | Boston, Amanda was an active member of the Women’s Law Caucus and served as the Online Editor for the New England Law Review. During her time on Law Review, she authored articles on a range of topics she deeply cares about, including prison reform and the benefits of incorporating yoga programs within correctional facilities across the United States. Amanda also received a CALI Award for earning the highest grade in her Contracts class of more than 100 students, reflecting her strong writing ability, work ethic, and dedication to excellence.
Before joining Buchanan Law Group, Amanda worked as a Law Clerk at one of Massachusetts’ largest boutique family law firms, where she gained invaluable experience and insight from accomplished attorneys. She also became a Certified Mediator in Massachusetts, which sparked her passion for resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution and mediation.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys practicing yoga, visiting farmer’s markets with her husband, and exploring new restaurants throughout Chicago.
