Katherine (Katie) Chyna is a dedicated family law attorney known for her tenacious advocacy and unwavering commitment to her clients. With a deep understanding that family law matters touch every corner of a person’s life, she brings both strategic insight and compassionate guidance to every case she handles.
A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, Class of 2024, Katie was actively involved in the Child and Family Law Society and Moot Court Honors Society. She stood out in national competitions, including the Child Welfare and Adoption Law Moot Court Competition in Columbus, Ohio, and the Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court in Washington, D.C., where her team earned the prestigious Best Brief award.
Her dedication to family law is grounded in meaningful courtroom experience. Prior to law school, she worked in the family division of a Minnesota courthouse, assisting individuals impacted by domestic violence. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Kelley in the Circuit Court of Cook County, gaining valuable perspective into how family law cases are evaluated from the bench.
Katie’s practice spans a wide range of complex and emotionally charged family law matters, including high net-worth divorce, child support, emergency parenting issues, and orders of protection. She is known for maintaining composure and clarity in high-conflict situations, helping clients feel steady and supported even during their most difficult moments.
Outside the office, Katie enjoys recharging by baking, spending time with loved ones, and exploring the city with her dog, Monty.
